Privacy

• What you tell your companions: what you want to feel different, your Focus, your driver, the tiny actions you report, and your wins.
• Account details (only if you create one): your email and a password, which is hashed and stored by our authentication provider. We never see it in plain text.
• Payment status (only if you subscribe): a customer id and whether your plan is active. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store them.
• Basic technical data needed to run and secure the service (e.g. your IP address for rate-limiting).

Everything lives in your browser first. If you create an account, your profile, reports, and wins are also saved to our database (hosted by Supabase) so you can pick up on any device. Access is locked to your account at the database level: one person can never read another's rows.

To generate your companions' replies, the text you type is sent through our own server to Anthropic, the makers of Claude, and a response comes back. We send only what that turn needs: never your email, never your payment details, never anything that identifies you.

Anthropic handles that text as our data processor, under a Data Processing Addendum that includes the Standard Contractual Clauses covering data sent outside the EU and UK. They do not train their models on it. They may hold it briefly (up to 30 days) to check for misuse, then delete it. We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.

Only the service providers that make Aliven work: Supabase (database & sign-in), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI responses), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes your data only to provide their part of the service. We don't sell your personal information.

• Delete everything. Account → Delete account erases everything: your Focus, every report, and all your wins, from this device and, if you're signed in, from our database. It can't be undone.
• Access or export. Email us and we'll provide a copy of your data or delete it on request.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, CCPA, or Washington's My Health My Data Act. We honor them.
